Fittings:  Manufactured handrail components to accommodate turns and height changes of the handrail in over the post or post to post with fittings stair systems.  These fittings or turnings enable users to maintain hand contact with the handrail continuously during use of a particular stair system, such as the over the post system.  In the construction of a post to post with fittings system the fittings or turnings are more aesthetics than functional.
